On a sunny Sunday in April, the Shans set out to have a little picnic on a small stone beach that lines one of the banks of the river Shannon. We walked down an old country road called a boreen (well, some of us walked, and some of us rolled along in our buggies!), cut through a field (no cows -- phew!), and made ourselves comfy.

I hope you all have as relaxing a Sunday today as we did a couple of months ago. :-)
