I'd planned to start cutting back on my touring this year, but actually ended up doing events in every single month of the year! That was the first time that had ever happened, and will quite probably be the last -- it wasn't something I planned in advance, just the way things turned out. Events ranged from the very small (a handful of people in one bookshop) to the massive (950 students in one school). Obviously I prefer it when lots of people turn up to see me, but it's nice to be able to give more time to fans at the less well attended events, so I have a good time regardless!
